Assistant Professor of Food Chemistry, Department of Food Science and Technology, Dr. Hualu (Lu) Zhou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology at the University of Georgia. Her research integrates food chemistry, nanotechnology, and data-driven modeling to design sustainable and functional food systems. She currently focuses on applying AI-enabled predictive approaches to elucidate structure–function relationships in food components, including plant proteins and bioactive compounds, and to advance their applications in food health and sustainability.
