Image: IAI Director Doshi had a wonderful day visiting the University of Georgia's Griffin Campus last week. Invited by the UGA Center for Food Safety (CFS) to deliver a colloquium on the Institute for AI’s vision for AI @ UGA, it was a privilege to share how AI models and methods can tackle real-world challenges within the realm of food safety. Engaging with CFS faculty highlighted how tailored AI methods can provide powerful new tools for their critical work in detecting and containing food-borne diseases.AI@UGA isn't just about the technology; it’s about empowering UGA's researchers across all its campuses to push the boundaries of what’s possible. A huge thank you to CFS Dir. Francisco Diez-Gonzalez for the invitation. Doshi truly enjoyed the opportunity to interact with such a dedicated group of faculty and to explore how we can continue to bridge the gap between AI research and food science. Excited for what’s to come!
