Chris's research interests deal with decision-making and planning in a multiagent environment and game theory. He also has interests in machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, interactive-entertainment, and human-computer interaction.
He's currently performing research into the Markov Team Decision-Making problem under the guidance of Dr. Prashant Doshi.
Before starting the MSAI Program here at UGA Chris spent 5 years (2004-2009) working at Google Inc., where he helped build the infrastructure and services necessary for projects like Gmail, Maps, YouTube, etc. During his career at Google he got the chance to spend 2 years working with the great group in Google Brazil and he also was honored to be promoted 3 times through the course of his work.
Since 2009, he is currently employed as a Systems Engineer at Linden Lab, creators of Second Life, where he helps build and maintain the Second Life Grid as well as respond to major outages and grid attacks.
Besides working, he loves spending time with his wife and kids. He also loves learning new languages; He's fluent in Portuguese, and recently took up a hobby to learn Mandarin Chinese.
